AB/Powerline

Client: Imperial Irrigation District

LandMark Consultants, Inc. conducted a geotechnical investigation for the 161/92 kV A/B Transmission power line extending from El Centro Generating Station to the Highland Substation located at the northwest side of the East Highline Canal and Old Hwy 80 in Imperial County. The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) intends to replace approximately 20.0 miles of new overhead power transmission line supported by new steel single power poles and/or self-supported steel framed towers.



IV-Dixieland Powerline

Imperial County, California

Client: Imperial Irrigation District

LandMark Consultants, Inc. conducted a geotechnical investigation for the Dixieland 230 kV Transmission power line extending from Imperiial Valley Substation to Dixieland Substation in western Imperial County. The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) intends to construct approximately 7.0 miles of new overhead power transmission line supported by new steel single power poles and/or self-supported steel framed towers. The IID proposed three (3) route alternatives between the substations depending on ability to obtain right-of ways for the tranmission line. Ten (10) borings were made at specific locations selected by the IID Electrical Transmission Group along the proposed transmission line routes.
